I know in hardball, the speed of the swing is important. But in mens slowpitch softball, is it the speed of the swing, or the heaviness of the bat, or something else? I mostly hit singles into the short outfield, but would like to go farther. Thank you very much for your response.
In Order To Hit The Ball Far Into The Outfield, Is A Heavy Or Light Bat Suitable In Mens Slowpitch Softball?

Both speed and weight factor into it. It sounds like you need a different bat. I like the TPS with the weighted end and a better sweet spot. Try a few sizes and weights to see what feels best. Mechanics play a big part as well. Good luck.
If you are hitting singles into the short outfield now… then you probably arent gonna have the bat speed necessary to hit deep balls. The balls you are hitting now are probably going to become routine fly balls when you try to go to a bigger bat or try to swing harder. Thats what it sounds like at least. Are you capable of hitting the deep ball?
get a fairly heavy bat and try to hit line drives. If you undercut the ball you’ll pop it up too often. Go for the line drives and you might get one out every once in a while.
I play OF and I hate it when line drives go deep into the OF cause I’ve got to run after them and they roll farther than pop ups that I can’t catch.
u gives a crap. Im mad at people who think we should stop talking about baseball….
But sorry
